Super-sexy advanced CSS and JS FAQ

Enough acronyms for ya? Tee hee :)

Don’t you just love advanced CSS? I do. Check out this FAQ I made last week for work. Definition lists. Pseudo-elements. Generated Content. Unobstrusive JavaScript. CSS that isn’t supported by IE? Conditional comments. Ooooh, are you drooling yet?

I even sort of wrote the Javascript myself. And I wrote a whole article about how I developed it, which will be published on our new content site :D

  1. Oooooo! Very Nice!

It even opens up all the catagories/questions if javascript is disabled. I assume this is done by closing them with javascript calls?

It is good to see our pages in Housing becoming more and more interesting and technological as we move forward. You should have seen them when I started here.

    :o )

  2. Yep, they are all closed in the Javascript to start so if JS is turned of or unsupported you just get all of them open.

By the way, for anyone else who is reading this, the site in question gets over 26% of it’s traffic from Firefox users, and an additional 3-4% Opera & Safari, so I didn’t have any qualms about using CSS that isn’t supported in IE. Especially since it’s just bells & whistles, and I was able to mostly replicate it in the conditional comments.
